Just returned from a week at the Hilton Cancun ... having end-of-vacation-blues. What a fabulous place to stay! The views, grounds and location are perfect. They say when you arrive in Cancun - "welcome to Paradise". Well, the Hilton Cancun was just that! We stayed in the Villas with an oceanfront room. Absolutely, unbeatable. Can't imagine that someone would want anything else. We were literally steps away from the white sandy beach and warm turquoise water. Bathroom had a walk-in shower with a separate bath and the air conditioning worked great. Ok, I could go on and on but enough about the physical attributes.


Just a word about the ambiance. The resort was relaxing and quiet without being boring. I suppose if you in your late teens or 20s you may want a more hopping, loud pool or night club scene. (You can find this downtown). If you are looking for sun and beautiful grounds (green lawns, palm trees, waterfalls, streams and large white sandy beach) look no farther. Now to the people..

What sets this place apart is the exemplary service! Wow, I just can't say enough. Upon check in Christian - our Villas concierge - was friendly, professional and genuinely welcoming. Throughout our stay Christian called me by name and made sure every need of my family was met. The Hilton needs to make sure they pay him handsomely because as a Hilton Honors member who has stayed in Hiltons throughout the world Christian is in a class by himself. He exudes a genuine like of people and sincere desire to make sure you are having a great time. Along with Christian ... Bartolo and Miguel in the Villas lounge went out of their way to serve and did so with a smile on their faces. Ahh ... miss them.

Raul at the pool bar also deserves mentioning. He would come around and ask, "Everything good for you?" and made sure all your drink and food wants were met. He is great. In fact, all employees (bellmen, waiters, security, gardeners) we interacted with made you feel special and wanted. No one was bothered or appeared "put out." When we go back to Cancun we will not even contemplate another place to stay. The Hilton Cancun is paradise!
